Our services: Study Spaces: Pop-up Library Study Spaces - Easter Term

Pop-up Library Study Spaces for Easter term

We know the Easter term is a busy period for studying and exams, and you can expect Bill Bryson Library and our other study spaces to be at their busiest.

To support you with finding study spaces, we have arranged additional rooms to be available as pop-up library study spaces for you to use across the University campus in the buildings listed below.

Locations and availability

Please check the availability dates and times below carefully. Most rooms are only available during the exam periods, and you may find them suitable spaces to use to sit an online exam.

Unless stated, all rooms are available Monday-Friday between 8.30am-6pm (closed on bank holidays).

Things you need to know

  • All the rooms should be considered quiet study spaces, with minimal conversation. Please leave them clean and tidy, ready for the next students.
  • Come ready charged! Most of the desks do not have power to them - if you intend to work on a laptop, please make sure it is fully charged before you visit. The University Wi-Fi network is available within the buildings.
  • These spaces will be self-service areas – should you have any queries whilst you are there, you can contact the Library through our live chat service.

What else we're doing to support you

  • 24/7 opening at Bill Bryson Library will run from 9am on Saturday 20 April until 10pm on Friday 31 May, giving you access to the building and study spaces at a time that suits you
  • We restrict external visitor access to the Library during Easter Term to allow our students to have priority access to study spaces
  • You can check how busy the Library is before you visit with our live occupancy feed – if it’s busy, you might decide you want to use one of our other study space sites instead
  • You can book a study space in Bill Bryson Library to guarantee a seat for a specific amount of time - visit our Study Spaces guide for more information
  • Our Study Break cards will be available throughout Easter Term to help manage spaces effectively and allow you to take a much-needed break for up to 30 minutes
  • Keep an eye out for details of WellBEEing activities that we've planned to help support you and your wellbeing during this busy and often stressful time.
