An overview of our libraries

The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) provides space for independent and group study, as well as lectures and teaching activity. 

Study spaces are on the 2nd floor, and there's a mixture of 400 individual, group and informal study spaces.

The Library Virtual Enquiry Desk is available if you require any support.

Outside the Teaching and Learning Centre

The Teaching and Learning Centre is along South Rd, opposite the Lower Mountjoy site. Use the postcode DH1 3LS if using a SatNav or GPS.  
In the evening and weekends you will need your campus card to scan into the building.
There is no visitor car parking, except for disabled parking bays near the entrance. There are bike sheds available.  

The University welcomes the use of face coverings in shared indoor spaces on campus. If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home and try to avoid contact with people. Please visit the University webpages for more details.

Access is on level ground via a power-assisted door. There are disabled parking bays near the main entrance.

There are multiple lifts available within the building.

We have a range of individual and group study spaces available on Level 2 of the Teaching and Learning Centre, in a bright, light environment.

These are available on a drop-in basis.

Lidded drinks and cold food are currently allowed in the study spaces on Level 2.

The TLC has its own cafe called Zing - please see Zing webpages for current opening times.

This is a clean as you go area - please wipe down any surfaces before and after use, and place all rubbish in the bins provided.
