Our Services: Requesting a Purchase: More Books

More Books

More Books is an easy and direct way for all Durham University staff and students to tell us about books you think should be added to the Library.

Whether it’s more copies of existing books, a book we don’t have or a new book that’s just been published, let us know by making a request and we will try and buy it. This can include fiction, wellbeing or general interest, as well as academic books.

If you are a member of academic and teaching staff and your request is for teaching, please make requests through Talis Aspire

How to make a request

To make a request, log in to Discover, search for the item and click "Request" on the item record. When completing the form, please make sure you enter “More Books/additional copies” as the reason for your request.

Alternatively, you can complete the "Request a Purchase" form from the menu at the top of the Discover homepage. The details of the item you require won’t be pre-populated using these forms – you will need to enter the full information manually.

If for any reason we are unable complete your request, we will contact you to let you know.
