Welcome to the Library, and Level 2 of the building.
There are four floors in the Library (with the entrance on Level 2) and four wings – North, South, East and West. To give you an idea of the different areas:
In the area you are in now, we run activities and stands throughout the year, such as for our wellbeing campaigns, national awareness months and information stands for wider University support services.
You’ll also find:
You will see our floor maps and occupancy display straight in front of the entry gates.
You can use the floor maps to see the layout of each floor, where our bookable study spaces are and where resources for your subject are kept.
Our live occupancy display shows how many study spaces are currently available and where the busiest areas of the building are.
To your left along the corridor is Small Island Coffee, our library cafe, selling a range of sandwiches, salads, paninis, drinks and snacks. You can also access hot water and vending machines throughout your time in the Library.
Opening times vary throughout the year (they will be displayed in the cafe) and it’s usually open a little later when the Library is open 24/7.
We don’t expect you to know everything about the Library and there are no silly questions. If you need any help, you can visit our Help and Information Desk to ask our friendly staff about our services, your Library account or for support with accessing our resources.
This is also where you can ask to borrow equipment such as mobile device charging cables, noise-cancelling headphones, wipe board pens, etc. for use during your time in the Library.
Turn to your left and head over to the pillar near the floor maps and our live occupancy display.
